The Guild and University take personal safety on campus seriously.

This includes workplace, driving, and pedestrian safety during both day and night.

Building Security
Rules apply to Guild room access.
Users of rooms should also take care of simple tasks like closing windows and turning off heaters when leaving premesis at the end of the day.
After-hours Access
After-hours access is restricted on campus.

Building Safety & Emergencies
Students on campus should make themselves aware of emergency procedures and safety information.
Clubs who organise events have a responsiblity as part of event management.
If you are unsure of safety, emergency or first-aid procedures, or if you wish to obtain an information
brochure for your clubroom or event, please contact the Guild Activities Officer.

The campus emergency number is 6488 2222 (or security office 6488 3020 for non-emergencies).

Equipment Safety
Electrical testing and tagging (AS4360) applies to appliances and extension cords,
including ones you bring on campus yourself. The Guild Activities Officer offers
periodic testing to clubs.
UWA also provides some information about everyday equipment hazards
including BBQ safety.

Food and Beverages
Please note there are strict laws when serving or selling of food and beverages, including non-alcoholic beverages.
Please contact the Guild Activities Officer if your club plans to serve or sell food.

Equity and Diversity
Please be aware that equity and diversity is an important part of a safe and health environment.

There are strict regulations on smoking on campus (and at any venue or event).
