Posters, Signage & Print Publications
Posters for organisations, sub-organisations and events must be approved prior to display.
There are also rules about other publications, like handbooks and newsletters.
Affiliated clubs, societies and departments should view the
Guild Poster & Publications Policy (PDF, 155KB)
for all commonly asked questions.
Summaries about posters and events involving alcohol are provided.
External organisations who are interested in on-campus advertising
should first contact the Guild Activities Officer or Guild Marketing Officer (see Guild Staff).
For personal notices, individuals may post an A4 or smaller sheet onto the general noticeboards located in the Guild Village, QEII campus, and other selected areas.
See the summary about posters.
This information appears in the Societies Council Handbook.

Banners
The Guild has no banner painting facilities, but if you still decide to
paint a banner, please do it somewhere that won't bear the marks for
eternity. Also remember that absolutely nothing is to be put on UWA
buildings without the approval of the University. You can contact the Guild
Activities Officer, Jono Zahra on 6488 2291 for more info on the banner
painting policy or email activities@guild.uwa.edu.au

Handbills
The handing out of handbills is restricted to the Guild area. It is
acceptable to hand them out in lectures if they relate to the subject,
otherwise the promotion of social events must be maintained within the
Guild. If handbills are littering the University, the Uni, as with chalking,
may charge you for cleaning costs.
Contact the Guild Activities Officer before commencing your campaign.

Chalking
Chalking is now permitted within the Guild area, but if it goes beyond the
Guild area, the university has threatened to charge the responsible club for
cleaning costs. As with all events, please notify the Guild Activities
Officer and get approval before the event, and then be prepared to clean it
off a week after your function.
