The Public Affairs Council (PAC) organises events that are concerned with the Arts and social, cultural and political issues. We try to hold events that are relevant to all students, so as to ensure that campus life continues to be as vibrant and interesting to all and to remind everyone that there is more to everyday life than just study.
This is done through various theme weeks which aim to promote specific areas (faith week, music week, social justice week) and of course Fringe Festival where innumerable weird and wacky things have been known to happen!
PAC also hands out various awards (Best Club, Pelican Prize) to try to encourage everyone to participate.
We also support PAC- affiliated clubs by helping them promote, organise and fund their events. We try to encourage strong involvement, not only from these clubs and their members, but also from all students. PAC is a fun and great starting point to get involved in campus life.
