All students studying at UWA are
eligible to become UWA Student Guild Members, and best of all,
membership is FREE! We provide a range of member-only benefits as
well as run events, support services, and on-campus catering for
all students.
Part of the Guild’s funding comes from the University,
as a share of the Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF). We
also offer Associate Membership for staff to help fund student
services while getting discounts at the same time!
The UWA Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF) is a
charge approved by the University’s Senate and levied on
all students enrolled at UWA. The income generated by the fee is
spent on developing and providing a range of recreational,
sporting and educational facilities together with social,
education and representation activities and services for the
direct benefit of all students at UWA.
In other words, the Fee provides financial support for UWA
Sports & Recreation Association and the UWA Student Guild.
However, SSAF is not a Guild Membership Fee or a Sports &
Recreation Association Fee. Both organisations are FREE and
voluntary to join!
For more information about the current
SSAF, please visit the
UWA Student Services & Amenities Fee section of the
Student
Administration website.
In 2011
we had the highest membership rate in Australia –
