G-News is the Guild’s weekly electronic-newsletter sent to all Guild members informing them of upcoming on campus events, Guild activities, club and society functions, an ‘Outsiders’ section, and everyone’s favourite...WEEKLY PRIZES! Be sure to read G-News to keep up-to-date on what’s happening around uni. Stay in touch, get involved, win prizes, and have fun!

Are you in on it?

G-News is sent weekly (during semester) every Monday evening to Guild members’ UWA e-mail addresses.

Want to promote through GNews?

Simply submit details of your club/event in no more than 50 words describing what, when, where, how much, and who to contact for further info. Make sure that if you have a Monday event, you submit it for the previous week's edition of GNews. Please send your submission to gnews@guild.uwa.edu.au before 10am on the Monday that you wish the entry to be published. Please note that we may have to edit down your submission to meet size requirements. Unclear, inappropriate or excessively long submissions cannot be included.

If your club has an ongoing placement in G-News (eg. Join us every Tuesday in the Tav) please make sure that the information included is checked regularly to make sure it's up to date.

You need to include:

Your club name
The name of the event
A short paragraph about the event (max. 50 words)
Location
Date and Time
Cost (and whether discounts are available to club or guild members – and specify which if so)
A Contact Name and e-mail/phone number
Optional:Link to a website or facebook event

TERMS AND CONDITIONS WIN STUFF WEEKLY

1. Method Of Entry

The only way to enter a G-News "Win Stuff Weekly" competition is to reply to the relevent

G-News e-mail via the address comps@guild.uwa.edu.au having answered the required

question, or supplied the correct details in order to enter. The

prizes and all conditions associated with the prize will be described

in the text outlining the competition details. Persons who have won a

prize through Win Stuff Weekly in the past two weeks are not eligible

to enter.

3. The Prizes

The prize will be changed on a weekly basis, or in the event that

there is an ongoing promotion that spans more than one week the

duration of that promotion as specified in the competition details.

4. Use of Names etc.

All contestants acknowledge that it is a condition of entry that the

UWA Student Guild has the right to publicise their names and

characters for any promotion or matter incidental to the competition.

5. Indemnity

All contestants release from and indemnify the UWA Student Guild

against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of

acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition

including (but not limited to) personal injury or damage to property

and whether direct, consequential or foreseeable, due to some

negligent act or omission or otherwise.

6. Notification

Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail.

7. Other Info

The winners will be responsible for any/all taxes incurred in

relation to their receipt of prize/s. Employees of the UWA Student

Guild and their immediate families, participating clients, agencies,

affiliates and sponsors are ineligible to enter. The promoter is The

UWA Student Guild of Hackett Drive, Crawley WA 6009. The judge's

decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
