In its most popular form ALVA is a social club. Great events spot your hectic calendar such as the `Harry Newton Memorial Dinner' (certainly not as formal as it sounds), the annual T-Square Ball, plus a multitude of Pool Competitions, Sundowners and casual get -togethers. ALVA also provides the "ALVA Room", which features a kitchen, pool table, arcade game, a public telephone and a student use 24hr photocopier.
ALVA concerns itself with providing an important liaison between students an the staff on an academic level. The ALVA Executive Committee is a first point of call for any student wanting to raise issues that concern them.
