National Campus Band Competition (NCBC)

The National Campus Band Comp (NCBC) is the largest live band competition in the southern hemisphere. Each year up to 1000 bands from over 80 institutions compete live, looking to be crowned national winners of this prestigious and highly respected competition. NCBC is a great way to get live music experience under your band's belt, not to mention some great prizes and media and record company attention. Previous winners and entrants include Eskimo Joe, The Vines, Jebediah, George, Grinspoon, Waikiki, Frenzal Rhomb, 78 Saab, Augie March and The Vasco Era, to name a few!

UWA bands compete in hotly-contested heats at the Tavern throughout August, with the winners going through to compete against bands from other WA universities and TAFEs in semi-finals and an explosive State Final. Last year, UWA's very own Runner went all the way to Melbourne to claim the top prize!

Heat Dates:

Heats will run in Week 2, 3 and 4 of Semester 2.
